Cristina

She graduated as a Spanish-Catalan interpreter/translator at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her source languages are Dutch, English and German.
Cristina has been living and working in the Netherlands for many years now. In addition to doing general interpreting and
translation work, she loves to translate books and has ample experience in subtitling films. The country of her dreams: Japan.

Nancy obtained her MA in translation
at the Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussels in 1992. She has been living and working in Devon, UK ever since. She is perfectly bilingual, Dutch - English, but only translates into English.
Her translation experience includes medical, commercial, financial (10 years' work experience as a Benelux equity data analyst at Reuters plc) and general translations.
She has also completed several Open University courses including courses in creative writing (Poetry and Script writing) and Natural Sciences. |
• Bettina
(German, English)
Bettina lives and works in Berlin.
She is a translator, author and editor, who obtained a master’s degree in literature, history and psychology at the University of Munich.
Her services not only include translation work, but proofreading and copywriting as well.
Bettina has also worked in London for the German Embassy, amongst other things,
and taught German in Buenos Aires. |
• Joëlle
(French, Dutch, English, Flemish)
Joëlle has been living and working in France
for many years now. She is a translator, editor and copywriter of Dutch-Belgian origin and was raised completely bilingual (Dutch father, mother from the French speaking
part of Belgium).
Joëlle has degrees in Dutch, French, English, German, Marketing, Business Communications & Public Relations, as well as cosmetics. |
Born and raised in Heidelberg, Verena has
lived and worked in Bayreuth for many years now. She obtained her MA in Germanic Studies/Dialectology at the Universität Bayreuth.
In addition to her studies, she took Dutch language courses and in 2007, she obtained the Certificaat Nederlands als Vreemde Taal PAT
(Certificate in Dutch as a Foreign Language) awarded by the Nederlandse Taalunie.
Verena's favourite subject areas include tourism, recruitment, culture and humanities. She is also an experienced author of educational materials for teaching German as a Foreign Language (LOI).
In addition to her work as a freelance translator, Verena is currently involved in compiling a dialect dictionary at the Universität Bayreuth. |
Paula is of English origin
and has been living and working in the Netherlands as a translator and editor for many years now.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Economic and Social History (University of Exeter, Faculty of Social Studies), completed a course in Advanced Dutch
(University of Tilburg) and obtained an interpretation and translation diploma in English to Dutch and vice versa at the ITV in Utrecht.
Paula specialises in EU-related topics, law (in the field of social security), government and politics, social sciences, travel, tourism and education. |
Monique graduated from
the Academy of Journalism and Public Relations in Tilburg.
In addition, she studied General Arts in Utrecht and Communication Sciences in Amsterdam.
She focuses on, amongst other things, copywriting, writing journalistic articles, final editing, providing
language training and giving advice on means of communication. |
Els completed
her studies at the Hoge Hotelschool Maastricht. After a short stay in Milan, she lived in London for three years where she took a
short course in translation at the City University London.
Els has been working as a translator for almost 7 years now, translating from and into English. She specialises in Marketing and will
shortly also start translating books. In addition to this, she is also involved in proofreading and copywriting. |

(German)
Claudia lives and works in Bochum.
She has a master’s degree in German studies, philosophy and art history.
Claudia works in the fields of copywriting, public relations, editing and correcting.
Her main specialties include arts, travel/tourism and public relations. |
• Andrea
(Dutch, German, English, Italian)
A master’s degree in
Interpreting at the Institute for Translators and Interpreters of the University of Bologna (I) featuring German and English. An Erasmus at the FASK Germersheim (G).
Graduated in 2004. Free student at the HIVT in Antwerp, Dutch course at the University of Amsterdam, diploma Dutch as a Second Language II. Independent translator and
conference interpreter from Dutch/German/English to Italian since 2006.
Specialties: marketing, law, politics, economy.

Henk has a
master’s degree in Dutch law (LL.M.) and studied Danish linguistics at the University of Groningen for two years.
He subsequently worked as a guest researcher at the University of Arhus, Denmark, where he obtained a licentiate in law (lic.jur.).
Following several years of working in the field of science, he has been active in correspondence education (LOI) since 1993 and
has been working as a sworn translator Danish-Dutch since 2001, specialising in legal translations.

• Seda (Turkish, English, German, Dutch)
Seda is
a journalist and translator who specialises in the Turkish language.
She studied journalism at the Fontys Academy in Tilburg and works in very diverse fields.
Seda does translations into Turkish for various clients, amongst other things, and writes
for different magazines, organisations and institutions, including the United Nations Association of The Netherlands. |
Djoeke is a French, English and Spanish translator and teacher.
A short overview of her education: completed her pre-university education and studied at the Institut pour les Etrangers in Aix-en-Provence for a year.
Propaedeutic degree in French, art history & archaeology at the University of Amsterdam.
Translation studies (Master's Level) French/Spanish at the University of Amsterdam.
Erasmus Academy Brussels 2nd candidature French/Spanish and 1st licentiate English consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.
Furthermore, Djoeke received initial teacher training at the Graduate School for Teaching and Training (ILO) in Amsterdam and was active as a secondary school teacher for many years. |
• Marion
(German, English, Dutch)
As a translator and copywriter, Marion feels at home with a
variety of topics: tourism, the environment, water management, area-oriented planning, complementary medicine and financial services. This mix reflects her work experience following her
studies at the Agricultural University, her personal interests and her experience as a translator. Marion translates from German and English into Dutch.
In addition Marion creates visual poetry by painting with words and images. |
